TV Quickie: Re-run Celebrity Spotting: Sam Trammell

While watcing one the many House mini-marathons (unofficial marathons, but they show about 6 episodes in a row at times) I spotted Sam Trammell of True Blood in an episode from 2004.

In the episode "Maternity", Trammell, who plays Sam Merlotte on True Blood, plays a character not named Sam. He plays Charlie Martig, the father of a neonatal infant who has suffered mysterious seizures and may be part of a rapidly spreading epidemic. Of course, we're used to seeing Trammell play sad and tormented... but we're not quite used to him having a happy ending. (Ooops, spoiler, the baby lives, sorry, my bad, but hell, the episode is six years old.)

I'm starting to think that any show that has some back footage of someone from True Blood is showing it this month because TB is so huge right now and the season finale is coming up. I'm sure I'm not the only one who flips through the stations and stops for a second when I see a 'familiar' face and end up accidentally watching the rest of the show and maybe even giving a new show a chance.

'Charlie Hartig' holds his baby while a nurse changes the sheets and Dr. Cameron looks on
